WHAT IS LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY?
Lifestyle photography involves capturing candid, real-life, everyday moments. I do include some traditionally posed images, but the majority of my work is lifestyle.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Coordinating (not matching) colors usually look best in portraits. Avoid distracting patterns, and stick to neutral, pastel, or earth-toned colors.
WHY DON’T YOU RELEASE ALL OF THE PHOTOS YOU TAKE?
I select the best of the best images for your galleries. I remove any duplicates, blinking, or unflattering poses to make your selection process as easy as possible.
DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?
Yes; I correct all images for white balance, exposure, cropping, and other basic edits. Further editing (braces removal, extensive blemish removal, etc. is available at an additional cost).
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
Standard portrait sessions and dog sessions are delivered within 2 weeks of the date they were photographed. Weddings are delivered within 8 weeks.
WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?
Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. If you or your family are experiencing signs of illness, your appointment will need to be rescheduled.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?
Cancellations for family sessions may be made up to a week in advance; you will forfeit the retainer used to book your session. Cancellations for weddings must be made 60 days in advance.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?
This is dependent on the type of session; full family sessions can expect 45+ images. Dog sessions include 10 images with more images available for purchase.
WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD WE SCHEDULE THE SHOOT?
For best lighting, I typically schedule family sessions in the hour or two before sunset.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE LOCATIONS TO SHOOT?
I have a few favorite locations around the Madison area, including Pope Farm in Middleton and Lake Farm County Park between Fitchburg & McFarland, but I'm always willing to try new spots!
